Review and Analysis: ImagenGentleman - A Top-Rated Chrome Extension for Media Download

A great extension, I've been using it for a long time. It does what it needs to do. I would like to request an option to set where the images are downloaded, as the Downloads folder tends to get cluttered. While you can move them to a different folder manually, I'd prefer to downloaded images in the same folder where I store images, as it makes it easier to catch any duplicate downloads, as it gets renamed with a (1) if the same folder contains an image with an indentical name. (edit: a subfolder within Downloads would be fine too) (edit edit: oh I get it, "I'm A Gentleman." im-a-ge ntleman)

I was testing the extension and I clicked the extension icon on deviantart page but I haven't disabled the "ask where to save" and it spammed non-stop with save as dialogs and I my browser was in infinite loop of dialogs and I couldn't do anything. The only way was to kill the chrome.exe process from task manager

Great extension for downloading single files. The click and drag to download is very helpful. My only issue is the batch download. It downloads the images but downloads them in the size presented on the screen at that time not what the full image would be if you clicked to enlarge or opened it in a new tab, As far as i know there aren't any batch download image apps or extensions that can do this. Asides that, does what it says and works great! Thanks

Awesome idea and works. Would be perfect if we could specify a directory to save inside the extension. For example to Downloads\Pictures or Pictures\Saved from web etc

Love it so much but it stopped working on pinterest :( And also doesn't work on tumblr, you have to open the image in a new tab first.

This extension has made my life so much easier, HOWEVER, for some reason, it has suddenly stopped working today and instead of installing the image, installs files solely as .htm's no matter what I try or what extension settings I mess with. When this is fixed, my rating will return to 5 stars.

Please apply an update that allows the user to disable the moving of image it automatically installs it. I would give this app 5 stars if that is applied. The amount of times it randomly installs an image that i didn't want is quite infuriating but other than that i really like the alt + hotkey install

Works fine but I had on problem. When I save a ".webp" it gets saved as ".jpg.jpeg" !? I use Vivaldi under Linux.
